To enhance graduate and undergraduate students' understanding of the prosecutorial practice, to promote practical and academic exchanges while responding to the resolution of the National Judicial Reform Conference on Teaching, Evaluation, and Training of Legal Professionals aiming to allow the appropriate alignment of legal education and practical courses, the Academy has signed a cooperation and exchange agreement with the National Chengchi University's College of Law and National Taiwan University's College of Law respectively, from 2019. After the establishment of the Prosecutors Practical Curriculum at the two universities in 2019 and 2020, a Practical Curriculum Cooperation and Academic Exchange Agreement was negotiated with the National Taipei University's Department of Law, and the two parties signed it on November 4th, 2021. A signing ceremony was held, on that day, at the Taipei University's Department of Law, where the Dean of the Department of Law, I-Ching TU, representing the National Taipei University, and President Pi-Yu TSAI, representing the Academy for the Judiciary, MOJ signed the Agreement. Among the attendees present were Prof. Blake C.Y. WANG, Associate Dean of the National Taipei University's Department of Law, Professors Chao-Chun LIN, Rong-Geng LI, Yu-An HSU, Associate Professors Ming-Hui HUANG, Shih-Fan WANG, Assistant Professor Jung YAN, and the future instructors of the Prosecutors Practical Curriculum namely, Chief Prosecutor Ban-Liang LIN and Head Prosecutor Shu-Yi CHEN of the Taipei District Prosecutors Office. Under the Practical Curriculum Cooperation and Academic Exchange Agreement, the Academy will offer a course on prosecutorial practice at the Department of Law of the National Taipei University in the first semester of the academic year 2022. Through the actual implementation of this exchange agreement, we hope to provide law students with a realistic understanding of the work of a prosecutor, to provide them with a direction for their future career choices at an early stage of their studies, and to provide them with an early understanding of the operation of judicial practice. Both, President TSAI and Dean TU are looking forward to the future of these practical and academic exchanges.
