Prof. Dr. Antje von Ungern-Sternberg and Prof. Dr. Benjamin Raue from the Faculty of Law at Trier University in Germany, Prof. Dr. Christian Soffel (蘇費翔) from the Institute of Sinology, as well as PhD candidates Ms. Pia Diemath and Mr. Fabian Hoffmanns, visited the Academy for the Judiciary, Ministry of Justice (AJMJ) on the morning of March 24, 2025.

The Academy and Trier University signed a cooperation agreement in 2019, and both sides have maintained a positive and collaborative relationship. The delegation from Trier University, consisting of five members, was warmly received by our President, Hsun-Lung WU, who was accompanied by the two chiefs of the Academic Affairs Department and the Student Affairs Department, along with two mentors and an assistant mentor. President WU first extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests. The Academic Affairs Department then provided a brief introduction to the Academy's history, organizational structure, practical training programs, and the judicial training system in our country. The delegation also raised questions and engaged in discussions on various topics, including the design of pre-job education for judges and prosecutors, the use of artificial intelligence technology in judicial training, the caseload of the judicial system, and Taiwan’s new citizen judge trial system. Both sides exchanged opinions on these matters.

Following the discussions, President WU led the delegation on a tour of the Academy's historical corridor, moot court, classrooms, historical exhibition room, and library. The visit concluded with a group photo in front of the Academy's crest.

The Academy sincerely welcomes scholars, experts, judicial organizations, and personnel from around the world to visit and engage in exchanges, with the aim of advancing judicial education and training in our country and increasing our international visibility.
