The 13th seminar of judicial reform on “Strengthening the Protection of Victims” was held by the Academy on January 20, 2017. In recent years, people from all walks of life have paid great attention to issues related to improving the victim’s subjective status in criminal proceedings in Taiwan. How to enhance the protection of victims is also one of the important issues for the judicial reform. In light of this, the Academy invited CCU professor of law Lu Ying-jie and CPU professor of administration police Xu Fu-sheng to be keynote speakers, as well as inviting AVS chief executive officer and THPO prosecutor Ceng Jun-zhe and Oasis lawyer Lai Fan-yu as discussants, to hold an extensive discussion on the issue of strengthening victim protection, as well as exchanging opinions with participants, for a successful seminar.
