On October 21st, 2016, the 7th seminar on judicial reform was held to discuss about supervision over jurisdiction. Professor He Lai-jie of National Chengchi University and Nigel N. T. Li of the Lee and Li Attorneys-at-Law were invited as speakers to talk over topics such as the current mechanism for supervision over prosecutors and judges and review of the supervisory jurisdiction in the appeal and judicial precedent systems. Suggestions for supervision over judicial power were offered after the mechanism was compared with the one of mainland China. Deputy Director Yu Li-zhen of Department of Prosecutorial Affairs, Ministry of Justice and Judge Wang Yi-jun of Taiwan High Court were present as the panelist so that scholars, practitioners and officials had the chance to interact and communicate on this subject.
