On September 30, 2013, the Academy for the Judiciary held debates for the 54^th Judiciary Class.  The aims of the debates are to cultivate the habit of thinking from various angles, team spirits, and respects for others.  Three rounds of debates took places while each round had one topic.  The panel of judges included tutors of the Academy, Judge Su Su-e, Prosecutor Zhang Xi-huai, and Attorney Li Yong-ran.  After the intensive debates, which lasted for a whole day, the champion and runner-up were selected and awarded with certificates and gifts by Chief Secretary Chou Ying-hung.
