The Academy for the Judiciary held the robing ceremony on September 5th, 2013. President Lin Huei-huang personally robed the judicial apprentices.
President Lin addressed the judicial apprentices that the robe, symbolizing professionalism and honor, is of great importance for judicial heritage. President Lin also encouraged apprentices to acquire not only legal expertise but also humanistic qualities, including compassion, respect for nature, sympathy, altruism and ambition. In addition, the PENCIL theory should be practiced. “P” stands for professionalism that judiciary should have. “E” stands for efficiency, while “N” means the social network which one should build up. “C” is communication skills that we need. “I” indicates information that should be absorbed constantly while “L” suggests us to keep learning.
