A four-member delegation headed by Chief Justice José António da Vera Cruz Bandeira and Director of the supreme court and Director of the chief Justice’s Office Nelson Alexandre Leite da Silva Aguiar of the Supreme Court, Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe visited the Academy on December 7, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. for exchange over the development and training of judicial personnel in Taiwan. Led by President Tsai Pi-yu and accompanied by Chief Secretary Yen Nai-wei, Director of Academic Affairs Lu Hsiao-yun, and Director of Student Affairs Chiang Lin-ta, members of the delegation enjoyed a tour of the Academy. During the visit, Chief Justice José António da Vera Cruz Bandeira and fellow guests toured the moot court, the library, the computer lab, and the history room of the Academy and were deeply impressed with the modernized teaching facilities of the Academy and the comfort of the teaching environment. In addition, President Tsai Pi-yu and Chief Justice José António da Vera Cruz Bandeira also held discussion and exchanged opinions on both sides’ judicial systems as the visit proceeded smoothly and successfully.
