2015/7/1 Crime Prevention Advisory Conference

On July 1, 2015, to form a strategic alliance and enhance the precision and feasibility of the nation’s criminal policy, the Academy for the Judiciary held the Crime Prevention Advisory Conference. Hosted by President Tsai Ching-hsiang, the conference was attended by 17 members, including directors of MOJ departments, chiefs and deputy chiefs of MOJ subordinate organizations and representatives of the academia. In the conference, the Crime Prevention Research Center of the Academy first presented its accomplishments in the first half of 2015. Then, Director Su Yuan-qiong of Department of Statistics of MOJ and Professor Xu Hua-fu of National Chung-cheng University were invited to make reports on the criminal statistics websites MOJ currently operates and how to apply the big data analytics to enhance crime prevention. Attendees highly praised the Crime Prevention Research Center for research systems it set up and results it achieved.
